Ridgewill Terms of Service
You are reading an earlier version, from October 11, 2026. Read the latest version.
Key points
This summary is for convenience. The full Terms below are what count.
- One account, every app. These Terms cover your Ridgewill account and every Ridgewill app. Each app also has its own terms that add to these.
- Ridgewill is not a party to what members do with each other. Arrangements members make with each other are between them.
- Disputes go to court in Alabama, individually. You give up class actions and jury trials, as section 19 explains, except where section 20 says your state does not allow it. You may opt out of the class action waiver within 30 days.
- Our liability is limited to the greater of $50 or what you paid us in the past 12 months, with the exceptions in section 16.
- You can delete your account at any time.
1. About these Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Ridgewill LLC, an Alabama limited liability company ("Ridgewill", "we", "us", "our"). They govern your Ridgewill account, our websites, and every app and online service we offer (together, the "Services"). Keyodo and Just Another Recipe (JAR) are brands of Ridgewill LLC, not separate companies.
You accept these Terms when you check the box or tap the button that says you agree, or when you use the Services. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
App terms. Each app has its own terms, which are part of these Terms. If an app's terms conflict with the rest of these Terms, the app's terms control for that app, except that section 19 (Disputes) always controls.
Store terms. If you got an app from Apple's App Store or Google Play, that store's terms also apply to the app you installed (each app's terms explain this). Where they conflict with these Terms about the app itself, the store's terms control. Section 19 still controls any dispute between you and Ridgewill.
2. Who can use the Services
- United States only. The Services are offered only to people in the United States.
- Age 13 and older. You must be at least 13 to have a Ridgewill account. We ask for your date of birth and do not create accounts for anyone younger.
- Minors. If you are under 18, you may use the Services only with the permission of your parent or legal guardian, who must agree to these Terms in their own name and on your behalf. Your guardian is responsible for your use of the Services. Some apps limit what minors can do, or set a higher minimum age. Each app's terms say what members under 18 can do in that app.
- Turning 18. When you turn 18, minor-only limits end and we will ask you to accept these Terms in your own name.
- Age of majority. In a few states the age at which you can make a binding contract is higher than 18 (for example, 19 in Nebraska and 21 in Mississippi). If you are 18 or older but under that age where you live, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian agrees to these Terms for you, or that the law where you live lets you make this agreement yourself.
- Not allowed. You may not use the Services if we have previously banned you, or if you are barred from receiving services under United States law, including sanctions and export laws.
3. Your Ridgewill account
- One account for every app. Your Ridgewill account signs you in to every Ridgewill app.
- Accurate information. Give us accurate information, including your real date of birth, and keep your email address current. We may suspend an account that uses false information.
- Security. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods secure and for everything done through your account. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think someone else has accessed it.
- One person per account. Do not share your account, create one for someone else, or impersonate anyone.
- Your account is yours alone. You may not sell, transfer or lend it.
4. Electronic communications
You agree that we may provide these Terms, notices, receipts and other communications to you electronically: by email to the address on your account, in an app, or by push notification. Electronic communications satisfy any legal requirement that a communication be in writing. Email notices are effective when sent. You need a device that can run our apps and an email account to use the Services. You can save or print any notice. We do not offer paper copies. You can withdraw this consent only by deleting your account.
5. Connections, invitations and email
- Invitations. Members can invite people they know to join them in an app, including by entering an email address. We send that address one invitation that names the member who sent it. You may invite only people you know and reasonably believe would want to hear from you.
- Who can invite you. Ridgewill apps let members invite each other into shared features, such as a group in Keyodo. In your Ridgewill account settings you choose who can send you these invitations: "Anyone", or "Only people I'm connected with". You can also block anyone. These settings apply across all Ridgewill apps. If you don't have a Ridgewill account, you can stop all invitations to your email address from the link in any invitation (see Opt-outs below). If your setting or a block stops someone, we do not tell them why.
- Invitations already sent remain valid until they expire, even if you change your setting.
- Service email. While you have an account, we send you email the Services need, such as security alerts, sign-in codes, invitations from other members and messages from apps you use. You can turn off optional messages in each app's settings.
- Opt-outs. Anyone can ask us to stop emailing an address, and we keep a record so we can honor that request. If you create an account with an address that was opted out, accepting these Terms means you agree to receive service email and invitations from other members at that address.
6. Your content
"Content" means anything you add to the Services, including your name and profile photo, group names, notes, photos, trip and cost entries, and messages.
- You own your content. You grant Ridgewill a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, reformat, process, display and distribute your content, only to operate, secure, support and improve the Services. This includes showing it to the people you share it with and having our service providers process it for us (for example, reading text in a photo you upload). The license is transferable to a successor of Ridgewill and may be sublicensed only to our service providers and to members you share with.
- How long the license lasts. The license lasts while your content is in the Services, plus the time it remains in backups. It continues for content you shared into other members' records, and for information that has been de-identified or combined so it no longer identifies you.
- AI and machine learning. We do not currently use your content to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models. We may in the future use it to train or improve models that we use ourselves to improve the Services. If we do, we will update our Privacy Policy and tell you first. We will never send your content to other companies to train their AI models. We do not sell your content.
- Your responsibility. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed for the content you add, including permission from anyone who appears in your photos. You are responsible for your content and for what you share.
- No obligation to keep it. We are not a backup service. We may remove content as described in section 7 and in our Privacy Policy.
7. Community rules
You must not use the Services to post, share or do any of the following:
- Child sexual abuse material, or anything that sexualizes, grooms or exploits a minor. We remove it, close the account, preserve what the law requires, and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children.
- Sexual content or nudity.
- Intimate images of anyone shared without their consent, including AI-generated or altered images.
- Threats, harassment, stalking, bullying or intimidation.
- Hate speech, or content that attacks people based on protected characteristics.
- Anything illegal, or that promotes or helps illegal activity.
- Another person's private information without their permission, such as their home address, phone number, license plate or financial details.
- Spam, scams, or false or misleading content.
- Impersonation of another person or organization.
- Content that infringes someone else's copyright, trademark or other rights.
- Attempts to break, overload, probe, scrape or get around the security of the Services, or to access accounts or data that are not yours.
- Collecting other members' information by automated means.
Reporting. You can report a person or content from inside each app, or by email to [email protected]. To report an intimate image shared without consent, email [email protected] with the subject "Intimate image removal". Include your name and signature (a typed name is fine), where the image is, a statement that it was shared without your consent, and how to contact you. We will remove a valid request's image within 48 hours.
Enforcement. We may remove content, limit features, or suspend or close accounts that we believe break these rules, in our sole discretion, with or without notice. We are not required to monitor content, but we may review it, including when it is reported to us.
8. Subscriptions and payments
- Sold through the app stores. Paid features ("subscriptions") are sold only through Apple's App Store or Google Play. The store charges you, and its payment terms apply. We never receive your card or bank details.
- Each app's terms describe its subscriptions: the price, how renewal works, and how to cancel. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them in your App Store or Google Play settings, and deleting an app or your account does not cancel one.
- Refunds. Except as section 12 and section 13 provide, payments are non-refundable and we do not give partial refunds for unused time. Apple and Google decide refund requests under their own policies.
- Free and promotional access. We may give paid features free to some people, such as testers or promotions, and may end free access at any time.
- Taxes are added by the store where required.
9. Pre-release apps and features
Some apps or features are offered before they are finished, as an alpha, beta, preview or test version. Separate Testing Terms may apply to them. Pre-release versions are provided as is, may not work, and may change or end at any time. Data in them may be changed, reset or lost.
10. Ridgewill's property and your license to use the apps
- Our property. The Services, including our apps, software, designs, text, logos and the names Ridgewill, Keyodo and Just Another Recipe (JAR), belong to Ridgewill or its licensors and are protected by law. These Terms do not give you any ownership or any right to use our brands.
- Your license. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Services for your own personal, non-commercial use, under these Terms. For an app you installed from an app store, the store's terms also govern your license to the installed copy (each app's terms explain this). Ending your access to the Services under section 12 does not depend on revoking that store license.
- Restrictions. You may not copy, modify, sell, rent, sublicense or distribute the Services; reverse engineer or decompile them except where the law expressly allows it; remove our notices; or use the Services to build a competing product.
- Feedback. If you send us ideas or suggestions, you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use them for any purpose, without payment or confidentiality.
11. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use and share it, and your choices. It covers your account, our website, our support and each app.
Diagnostics and usage information. To operate, secure and improve the Services, we may record diagnostic information, such as crash and error reports, and information about how the Services and our apps are used, as our Privacy Policy describes. Test versions record more, as our Testing Terms explain. You agree to this when you accept these Terms. Statistics and other information we create from it that do not identify you belong to us, and we may use them for any lawful purpose.
12. Suspension, termination and deleting your account
- You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. An app's terms may delay deleting that app's records, for example while a balance is shown as owed.
- We can suspend or close your account, or your access to any app or feature, for any reason or no reason. We will usually give notice where reasonably practical. We may act immediately, without notice, if we believe you broke these Terms or the law, created risk or harm for other members or for Ridgewill, or if the law requires it.
- Refunds when we end things. If we close your account because you broke these Terms, you do not get a refund. If we close it for any other reason, we will cancel future renewals and refund any paid time you could not use, through the store where you bought it where the store allows.
- Inactive accounts. We may close an account that has not been signed in to for 24 months, after emailing you at least 30 days in advance.
- Shared records stay. When an account is deleted, information other members rely on, such as shared trips or cost records, may remain in their records with your name removed. Our Privacy Policy explains what we keep and for how long.
- What survives. Sections 6 (for content already shared), 8 (for amounts owed to a store), 10, 14 (for changes already made), 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21, and any release in an app's terms, continue after your account ends.
13. If we stop offering an app
We may stop offering any app or feature. If we shut down an app, we will tell its users by email and in the app at least 30 days before it closes. We will stop renewals, and refund any paid time you could not use, through the store where you bought it where the store allows.
14. Changes to the Services and to these Terms
- The Services change. We add, change and remove features over time.
- Changing these Terms. We may update these Terms. For a material change, we will notify you by email and in the app at least 7 days before it takes effect, unless a shorter time is needed to comply with law, address a security issue, or launch a new feature. A material change is one to sections 8, 12, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19 or 20, to any release or indemnity in an app's terms, or any other change that significantly reduces your rights. You will need to accept a material change, by checking a box or tapping a button, before you continue using the Services. Other changes take effect when posted, and continuing to use the Services means you accept them.
- If you do not agree, stop using the Services and delete your account before the change takes effect. The prior version applies to you until then.
- Changes apply only going forward. A change never applies to a claim or dispute that arose, or that either of us knew about, before the change took effect. Those continue under the version in effect when they arose.
- Versions. The date at the top shows the current version. We keep a record of every version and of when you accepted it.
15. Disclaimers
THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE". TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS, RIDGEWILL DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not promise that the Services will be available, uninterrupted, secure or error-free, or that any information in them is accurate or complete. That includes calculations, anything produced by artificial intelligence, and anything members enter. Each app's terms may add disclaimers specific to that app. Information in the Services comes from members, and we do not check that it is true. You are responsible for checking anything you rely on.
Section 20 lists the states where part of this section does not apply.
16. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT THE LAW ALLOWS:
(a) RIDGEWILL IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS, EVEN IF WE WERE TOLD THEY WERE POSSIBLE.
(b) RIDGEWILL'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES OR THESE TERMS IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF $50 OR THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE SERVICES IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.
(c) RIDGEWILL IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THE CONDUCT OF ANY MEMBER OR OTHER PERSON, ONLINE OR OFFLINE, INCLUDING WHETHER THEY PAY WHAT THEY OWE, HOW THEY USE ANY PROPERTY, OR WHAT THEY POST.
Exceptions. Paragraphs (a) and (b) do not apply to liability for death or bodily injury caused by Ridgewill's negligence, or for Ridgewill's fraud, gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct, or knowing violation of law.
17. Release for disputes between members
You release Ridgewill LLC and its members, managers, employees and contractors from all claims, demands and damages, known or unknown, arising from your disputes or dealings with other members, or with anyone you meet or deal with through the Services. This release does not cover claims arising from Ridgewill's own gross negligence, willful or wanton misconduct or fraud, or any claim the law does not allow to be released.
If you are a California resident, you waive California Civil Code section 1542, which says: "A general release does not extend to claims that the creditor or releasing party does not know or suspect to exist in his or her favor at the time of executing the release and that, if known by him or her, would have materially affected his or her settlement with the debtor or released party." You also waive any similar law of any other state.
18. Indemnity
You will defend, indemnify and hold harmless Ridgewill LLC and its members, managers, employees and contractors from any claim, demand or lawsuit brought by a third party, and the resulting losses, damages, costs and reasonable attorneys' fees, arising from: your content; your breach of these Terms; your violation of any law or anyone's rights; your use of any property; or your dealings with other members. This does not apply to the extent a claim is caused by Ridgewill's own negligence or misconduct. We may control the defense of any such claim, and you will cooperate. You may not settle a claim that affects Ridgewill without our written consent.
If you are a parent or guardian who accepted these Terms for a minor, this section also covers third-party claims arising from the minor's use of the Services. It does not apply to claims the minor brings for the minor's own injuries.
19. Disputes
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT LIMITS HOW YOU AND RIDGEWILL CAN RESOLVE DISPUTES, INCLUDING BY GIVING UP CLASS ACTIONS AND JURY TRIALS.
19.1 Talk to us first
Before either of us files a lawsuit, the one with the claim must send the other a written notice describing it and the relief wanted. Send yours to [email protected] or to our mailing address in section 22. We will send ours to the email address on your account. We will both try in good faith to resolve the dispute for 60 days after the notice is received. Any deadline for bringing the claim is paused during those 60 days. Small claims cases and requests for urgent court orders to stop harm do not need to wait.
19.2 Governing law
These Terms and any dispute between you and Ridgewill are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict of laws rules.
19.3 Where disputes are decided
Any lawsuit about these Terms or the Services must be brought only in the state courts located in Elmore County, Alabama, or in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, and you and Ridgewill consent to the jurisdiction of those courts. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court in the county where you live or in Elmore County, Alabama, if the claim qualifies.
19.4 Class action waiver
YOU AND RIDGEWILL EACH AGREE TO BRING CLAIMS AGAINST THE OTHER ONLY IN AN INDIVIDUAL CAPACITY, AND NOT AS A PLAINTIFF OR CLASS MEMBER IN ANY CLASS, COLLECTIVE, CONSOLIDATED OR REPRESENTATIVE ACTION. A court may not consolidate more than one person's claims, or preside over any class or representative proceeding, unless you and Ridgewill both agree in writing.
Opting out. You may opt out of this class action waiver by emailing [email protected] within 30 days after you first accept these Terms, with your name, the email address on your account, and a clear statement that you opt out of the class action waiver. Opting out does not affect any other part of these Terms.
If this waiver is unenforceable. If a court decides this waiver cannot be enforced for a particular claim, then only that claim may proceed on a class or representative basis, only in a court listed in section 19.3, and the rest of these Terms stays in effect. This waiver does not prevent a California resident from seeking public injunctive relief where California law guarantees that right.
19.5 Jury trial waiver
YOU AND RIDGEWILL EACH WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO A TRIAL BY JURY IN ANY LAWSUIT ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICES.
20. State-specific terms
This section lists the only ways these Terms differ by state. Unless a paragraph below names your state, every provision applies to you as written.
- New Jersey. Every provision applies to New Jersey residents as written. The limits in sections 16 and 18 already exclude liability for bodily injury caused by our negligence, and for fraud, gross negligence and willful or wanton misconduct.
- Implied warranties. If you live in the District of Columbia, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Vermont or West Virginia, the disclaimer of the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose in section 15 does not apply to you. The rest of section 15 applies.
- Jury trials. If you live in Arkansas, California or North Carolina, the jury trial waiver in section 19.5 does not apply to you.
- Where to sue. If you live in Idaho, Montana or North Carolina, you may bring a claim against us in the courts of your state, and section 19.3 does not require you to sue in Alabama.
- California. The class action waiver in section 19.4 does not apply to claims under the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act. Under California Civil Code section 1789.3: the Services are provided by Ridgewill LLC, 4049 US Highway 231, PMB 1027, Wetumpka, AL 36093, (334) 926-5955. Prices for paid features are shown in each app before you buy, and are charged by Apple or Google. To resolve a complaint, contact [email protected]. You may also contact the Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, or by phone at (800) 952-5210.
21. General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms, including the terms of each app you use and the documents they refer to, and our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and Ridgewill about the Services. They replace any earlier agreements about the Services.
- Severability. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, it will be enforced to the greatest extent allowed and changed only as much as needed to make it enforceable, and the rest stays in effect. Section 19.4 has its own rule for the class action waiver.
- No waiver. If we do not enforce a provision, we have not given up the right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these Terms or your account. We may transfer these Terms, without your consent, to an affiliate or to a successor in a merger, acquisition, reorganization or sale of assets.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of our hosting, app store or artificial intelligence providers. This does not excuse refunds owed under sections 12 and 13.
- Notices to Ridgewill. Send legal notices to Ridgewill LLC, 4049 US Highway 231, PMB 1027, Wetumpka, AL 36093, with a copy to [email protected]. Notices of a dispute under section 19.1 may be sent by email alone.
- No third-party rights. Except for Apple and Google as described in each app's terms, and the people released or indemnified in sections 17 and 18, no one else has rights under these Terms.
- Headings are for convenience only.

Adds Family Groups, which bring together the people in a family, of any age.
- A parent or legal guardian aged 21 or older starts one and adds family members.
- A guardian can see every member's connections, the people they block, which Ridgewill apps they use and their settings in them, and members are told this before they join.
- A guardian accepts these Terms, the Privacy Policy and each app's agreements only for members under 18; a member 18 or older accepts their own.
- When a member who joined under 18 turns 18, they confirm that they take over what was accepted for them, and can stay in the group.
- We may use your content to train models and systems we own to improve our services, as the privacy policies describe, with a way to opt out.
- Intimate-image removal requests can be made for someone else and cover identical copies.
- Material changes come with at least 14 days' notice.
- The release in section 17 no longer covers death or injury caused by our negligence.
- Section 20 adds California and Montana.
- Section 7 now says how to send a copyright notice to our registered copyright agent, how a member can answer with a counter-notice, and when we close the account of a repeat infringer.
